President of MCCI
Scott A. Jeffries is the founder and President of Midwest Compliance Consultants, bringing over 30 years of experience in construction and general industry safety. Since 1994, he has provided consulting services across the United States and internationally, supporting projects of all sizes with practical, results-driven safety solutions. He is highly experienced in OSHA and EPA compliance, safety program development, training, and large-scale project oversight. Scott has worked alongside OSHA compliance officers across multiple states and has led safety programs on major construction sites with large workforces. His leadership focuses on building strong safety cultures through teamwork, communication, and accountability.
Ellis Jackson
Safety Consultant
Ellis Jackson is a results-oriented safety professional with a proven track record of managing complex industrial projects and developing robust safety frameworks. Serving as a Safety Coordinator for Hodge within one of their major facilities, Ellis specializes in the oversight of diverse project workflows and the implementation of site-specific safety protocols. He is instrumental in drafting and refining formal safety policies, ensuring that organizational standards not only meet regulatory requirements but are practical and effective for the workforce.
Ellis’s leadership is grounded in a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology, providing him with a sophisticated technical understanding of industrial electronics and electrical safety. By combining this academic foundation with extensive experience in hazard identification and risk mitigation, he excels at bridging the gap between technical requirements and boots-on-the-ground safety. Dedicated to proactive accident prevention, Ellis focuses on fostering a culture where comprehensive policy writing and hands-on project management work together to ensure every worker stays protected.
Dawn
Pence
Administrative Operations
Dawn Pence joined Midwest Compliance Consultants in 2019. She oversees MCCI’s
administrative operations that support the team and MCCI’s Clients.
Dawn holds a B.A. from Iowa Wesleyan College and has completed coursework
towards her MBA at St. Ambrose University. With more than 30 years of management
experience, in Credit/Billing, Customer Service, Training, Facilities and Operations
Management. Her approach blends strategic thinking with a strong commitment to best
practices, helping to create an environment where staff and clients feel supported, and
set up for success.
A life-long resident of Muscatine, Dawn resides in Muscatine with her spouse Barry and
their two pugs Sabrina and Sebastain. Their son Bennett lives in Iowa City and
Daughter Mallory lives in Des Moines. Outside of work, Dawn enjoys spending time with
family and friends, exercising, hanging with the pugs, and spending time in the kitchen
working on sourdough recipes.
Traci Clemann
Operations Director
Traci Clemann joined Midwest Compliance Consultants in 2022 and serves as Operations Director, overseeing safety training coordination for contractors and service suppliers while supporting a wide range of administrative operations across the company. Her role focuses on helping ensure training, communication, and day-to-day processes run efficiently and effectively for both clients and internal teams.
Traci studied Business at Blackhawk College and brings more than 30 years of experience in customer service, client care, billing and collections, and employee training. She is known for her strong work ethic, dedication to excellence, and commitment to creating positive experiences for both clients and colleagues.
Guided by the belief to “be the change you wish to see in the world,” Traci approaches her work with reliability, professionalism, and a genuine desire to make a difference. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, being in nature, and relaxing near the ocean.
